South Central Communications places great emphasis on education. We recognize a good education is valuable to not only the individual, but to the communities in which we live. With that in mind, we devote a portion of our income to funding scholarships for deserving students.
Our annual scholarship program is open to all graduating high school seniors that receive local telecommunication service from South Central Communications. Applicants must complete an application and write a 300 word essay. The goal of this scholarship program is to help local youth to continue their education on a collegiate level.

These $1,000 scholarships are available to all students who live in our service area and have a landline phone in their home.

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship
This is a national scholarship program available to all students who live in our service area and have a landline phone in their home. Should a student from our service area be selected to receive one of the 30 scholarships ($2,000 each), we will contribute $500 to the scholarship, bringing the total one-time scholarship award to $2,500.
