Ron has been a member of the Install and Repair Team at South Central Communications for nearly 10 years. He has been married to his wife Kyla for 19 years, currently lives in Enoch and has six children. Ron loved growing up in Southern Utah and wanted to stay close to his Parowan roots. He is also involved in many youth and community activities, including coaching football at Canyon View Little League for 12 years.

Something you might not know about Ron, he is passionate about recognizing our military veterans and donates many hours of his time to Hunts of Honor. Hunts of Honor is a non-profit that focus on giving back to disabled law enforcement and military members by taking them on fully guided hunting excursions. Recently, Ron had the opportunity to escort a quadriplegic on a fully guided turkey hunt where he enabled him to shoot his own turkey. Something we’re sure this man thought he would never be able to do again.  “I thought about joining the military, but chose to stay home after high school. So this is my way to give back to those who’ve made that sacrifice.” Ron explained.

Ron also volunteers with the National Wild Turkey Federation, which gives him an outlet to preserve our natural habitat and sustain his joy for hunting and wildlife. The NWTF focuses on habitat projects and land restoration in hopes that our wildlife can strive in their natural ecosystem.  During the annual NWTF banquet, Ron always makes sure to recognize military veterans as part of the program.

We also appreciate the great care Ron shows for our customers. Outside Plant Manager, Duncan Reed, expressed, “Ron has a no nonsense approach. He tells it like it is but makes sure the customer always has the best service possible. His fellow employees enjoy working with him and he has a great sense of humor.”

Thank you Ron, for everything you do for our community and being a member of our awesome team!
